A profile bending machine is specialized equipment designed to bend structural steel sections like angle iron, channel steel, H-beams, I-beams, and pipes into curved or cylindrical shapes. Unlike flat-plate bending machines, profile benders have uniquely shaped rollers that cradle the profile's geometry and apply controlled bending force.
The workpiece (e.g., angle iron or H-beam) is inserted between three roller sets: two lower support rollers and one upper bending roller. As the profile travels through and upper roller descends, the section gradually curves. Multiple passes increase the curve radius until the desired diameter or arc is achieved.
Curved structural profiles are essential for bridge arches, stadium domes, spiral equipment and helical staircases. Single-piece bent profiles eliminate multiple welding seams, cutting labor and improving structural strength. Each roller equipped with separate hydraulic drive motor, realizing 100% balanced load distribution, zero synchronization delay, lower daily maintenance cost, and more accurate springback compensation during profile forming.
Complete roller mold replacement finished within 30–45 minutes. One machine processes angle, channel, H-beam, pipe and other ten kinds of profiles, greatly reducing equipment investment and factory floor occupation.

THW24 standard roller molds cover 9 mainstream structural profiles. We can design and manufacture custom roller sets for special non-standard cross-sections. Provide profile drawing or physical sample for custom mold development, lead time 4–8 weeks, cost range ¥20,000–¥80,000 based on mold complexity.
Standard configuration adapts 250–550 MPa mild carbon & low alloy steel. For high-strength steel 600–1100MPa, we upgrade hydraulic power unit and thicken roller molds, matching slower forming speed; post-bending heat treatment solution can be matched upon customer demand.
The minimum bending radius is about 500mm, subject to the thickness of the profile wall. The maximum bending radius has no hard upper limit, supporting 5m, 10m and ultra-large gentle arc forming; the actual limit is determined by customer project drawing requirements.
100mm angle steel bent to 1m diameter (mild steel): 3–5 mins per piece; 200mm H-beam bent to 3m diameter: 8–12 mins; 150mm high-strength channel bent to 2m diameter: 15–20 mins.
Standard THW24 complete machine: 10–14 weeks production cycle. If additional custom roller molds are required, add another 4–8 weeks lead time. We provide expedited priority production service for urgent orders, delivery shortened to 6–8 weeks with extra priority surcharge.
